These terms & conditions apply to all services provided by Bel It Corporation NV’s Amory Hotel Antwerp, established at Frankrijklei 53-55 in 2000 Antwerp (hereinafter referred to as “Amory Hotel”) to event organizers, guests and other contract partners (hereinafter referred to as “guest” and/or “customer”). The guest/customer is liable for third parties that they accompany and in case of an event, its participants.

Reservations and contracts

Reservations will only be accepted and confirmed if made by e-mail, fax or by the booking tool (via Cubilis) found on the Amory Hotel website. Reservations made via telephone will only be accepted in the case of a regular guest. Other verbal reservations will only be accepted in case made directly at the front desk of the hotel or with the hotel manager.

Requests for changes in confirmed reservations will always be subject to availability and rate changes.

In case of reservations for larger groups starting from 10 rooms or in case of events whether the reservations are made separately or together, customized terms & conditions may apply. These terms & conditions override and supplement the general terms & conditions as published here on the Amory Hotel website.

Check-in and check-out and stay at Amory Hotel

Check-in is possible as from 03:00 pm on the arrival date. In case the room is available earlier Amory Hotel can, but is not obliged to, check a guest/customer in before the normal check-in time. In case of a late arrival, after 6:00 pm, the guest/customer must notify Amroy Hotel beforehand. In case the hotel is not notified the room will be released at 6:00pm on the day of arrival.

Guests/customers must check out of their room by 11:00 am the latest on the date of departure. Rooms can be held longer but is subject to availability. In case the room is not vacated by 11:00 am Amory Hotel has the right to charge an additional fee for the use of the room until 4:00 pm. After 4:00 pm the full price of the room will be charged based on the daily rates.

Rooms are let only for the purpose of lodging. The guest/customer is held liable for any damages caused by negligence, their own act or that of third parties who are at Amory hotel with them. Amory Hotel is a non-smoking hotel, therefore a smoking fee of € 200.00 will be charged in case the guest/customer or a third party that is with them smokes anywhere inside the building or in the room/suite.

There will be no 3 persons staying in one room without prior authorization from Amory Hotel. A child under the age of 3 is allowed to stay in the room accompanied by their parent(s)/guardian(s) depending on certain room types and based upon availability of baby cots. Baby beds are available upon request and free of charge

Early departure

If the guest/customer decides to terminate the contract of a stay or event before the agreed departure date HYLLIT will not charge a cost for the remaining planned days of stay. This may not apply for group reservations.

Cancellations and no-shows

Confirmed reservations may be cancelled until 6:00 pm on the day of arrival unless otherwise stated in the individual booking terms and conditions. In case the reservation is cancelled after 6:00 pm on the day of arrival as stated on the reservation, Amory Hotel will charge the agreed rate (incl. breakfast) of the first night.

In case of no-show Amory Hotel reserves the right to charge 100% of the total amount of the confirmed reservation this includes total room rates including breakfast if it is included in the booking.

In case an advance purchase rate applies the total price of the reservation (incl. breakfast) will be charged if the reservation is cancelled, modified or in the case of a no-show.

If a last-minute offer is cancelled, modified or in the case of a no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Amory Hotel is entitled to cancel reservations if the guest/customer fails to meet their obligations, gives false/misleading information, jeopardizes Amory Hotel's reputation or safety, fails to respect the terms & conditions as stated here or in the case of force majeure or a strike. In these cases the guest/customer is not entitled to claim any form of compensation.

Rates and payments

The prices mentioned in any communication towards the guest/customer will always include the value-added-tax (VAT) as imposed by Belgian law unless otherwise stated. In case the VAT-rate would change at any time the difference is due if the service (room stay or event) has not been provided yet unless it has a retroactive effect.

Quoted rates are per room per night unless otherwise stated and do not include city tax. As of January 1st, 2014 a new city tax of € 2.80 excl. VAT (€ 2.97 incl. VAT) became effective. This tax is payable per person per night for all individuals from the age of 12 who stay in Antwerp. This tax will be charged in addition to the room rate.

In case the guest/customer chooses a room-rate including breakfast, no price reductions regarding those room-rates will be made when the guest/customer chooses not to have breakfast at any time during the stay at Amory Hotel. 

Amory Hotel reserves the right to ask an advance payment prior to arrival up to 100 % of the total amount due depending on what is specified in the contract. In the case of an advance purchase rate or a last-minute offer the total price of the reservation will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable.

Upon arrival Amory Hotel asks a € 50.00 guarantee for any potential damage that might occur during the stay. This amount will be given back when the guest/customer checks out.

Invoices are made when checking out. Amounts due are to be paid immediately in cash or with credit card upon receipt of the invoice. Amory Hotel is entitled to refuse foreign currencies or cheques. Cheques/vouchers from tour operators/ travel agents will only be accepted in case there is an agreement with said tour operator or travel agent. In some cases (stated in individual contracts) invoices will be sent after departure and be payable as indicated in the contract.

In case the invoice is not paid on time and with each reminder sent Amory Hotel reserves the right to charge an interest an additional fee of € 10.00 per reminder sent.

Amory Hotel reserves the right to adjust/modify and improve her general terms and conditions at any time and without notice. Please check it regularly.
